with waves crashing and so much unknown beneath it,
give us an overwhelming sense of calm?

Each of these artworks are my gift to you, little pockets of waves for your walls,
to return to again and again to take you back to that calm place.

Ode to the Ocean

This collection of small artworks is titled Ode to the Ocean, as each piece feels like a visual poem to the waves; a love letter to the sea.

Inspired by times by the sea in the UK, from the Scottish coastline to Dorset and Devon.

I’ve always been drawn to the sea, usually out of season when beaches are quiet and sunsets are earlier. There is something about this water world that sits on the edge of our lands which feels so hypnotisingly beautiful.

The Starting Point

The final piece in this collection was created during a stay in Devon, inspired by both the shape of the coastline and the sea view from our window. The wild lines of the waves nearby and the steady strokes in the distance.

Staying on the 'Start Bay' coastline a little drive away from 'The Start Point', the place gave this piece its name.
